Hello welcome to my 1970 Challenger RT/SE project site.
My name is Chris Stupp and this is my current Mopar project. I have been collecting mopars since 1979 and have had well over 100 cars since then. I currently own 14 Mopars. I owe many thanks to my mother who has supported my sickness from day one and my wife who tries to understand. This Challenger is my 37th Challenger since I became addicted, most have been drivers or hotrods. When I was in college I drove a 1971 Challenger convertable (340/727/3:91's/currently in hibernation). This one is my first basket case and will be a keeper!

I found this car on ebay in September 2001. The car didn't sell and I contacted the seller and made him an offer. After driving 250 miles to see the car I almost got back in my truck empty handed. I guess I have a soft head for a challenge, oh well at least its getting saved!

It would be easier to tell tou what the car came with rather then what all was missing. It basically came with sheet metal and a bare suspension (no 3rd member or brakes). None of the sheet metal was usable, dents everywhere! Rust was in the front window channel, both quarters, and drivers floor. The rest of the car was just dented and tweaked! My body guy said it looked like someone tried to use it as a stunt car! The only surprise was the trunk and extensions, they were in solid shape!
